Technical Staff
Eng. Fred Maia, Civil Engineer, Postgraduate in Safety Engineering and Master in Safety Management, worked for more than 32 years at Petrobras (1985-2017), in technical and management activities in the areas of Safety (Process and Operational), Environmental and Health (HSE) in the Offshore /Onshore oil production fields, Process Plant and Maritime Oil Terminal of Guamaré. He participated as an observer for Petrobras S/A in the Macondo Blowout incident – Gulf of Mexico – Houston-USA – April/May 2010 and Consultant on Safety for the use of Natural Gas – CTGas/ SENAI/PETROBRAS – from 1995 to 2007. He also acted as Corporate Coordinator of Contingencies, (Environmental Defense Centers-CDA), Senior Consultant – Coordinated the Work Group (WG) for Response to Blowout in Deep Waters in the ICS Management model and as HSE Advisor in the company’s Board of Directors. Since 2017, he has been working as a consultant in his area of expertise, having, throughout this period, provided services to companies in the oil and gas segment.
